UMCOR

United Methodist Committee on Relief

UMCOR during times of crisis, not matter the location in America or around the world, UMCOR is often one of the first NGO's available to provide support to disaster victims. Depending on the crisis, our church supports UMCOR and its missions with currency and tangible gifts. For example, after the Haitian earthquake, we collected an offering and assembled health care kits filled with bandaids, toothpaste, etc and sent them to a distribution center in Utah. Our OR-ID conference finance office reports that Oregon and Idaho congregations sent more than $193K. In addition, the annual One Great Hour of Sharing Sunday offering will provide the critical funds for administering UMCOR, supporting their work, and ensuring that 100% of funds given for each special need go directly to that need
