= The April 4^th Communion Offerin= g will be earmarked to support this year’s Migrant Outreach. The moni= es collected will primarily be used to purchase supplemental foodstuffs and= personal care items. Additional financial support is always welcome throug= hout the migrant outreach program.= Mark your checks or contribution envelopes with “Migrant Outreach.&#= 8221;

Camping Sunday

Come join us after worship in t= he fellowship hall on May 2nd. Get information you need for summer ca= mp. Kids, youth, adults, families many different camps to choose from= ! Plan to stay for lunch, we will be asking for donations of hot dogs= , buns, or chips. We will be providing baked beans and salad.<= /p>

Community Food

Basket

= Old Mother Hubbard went to the cupboard and the cupboard was bare. Th= is is what families in community are experiencing. There are several = food pantries to assist in putting food in cupboards and one is located rig= ht here in our church. “Community Food Basket”, which meets on = the third Friday of each month. Community Food Basket is a membership= program sponsored by the Oregon Food Bank for low income families to help = supplement their grocery basket.

= During the past two years, the amount of food received from the OFB has dim= inished greatly. We have to look for other ways to provide food for t= heir brown bag. One way is to glean food from the food barrel placed = in the narthex. At times the barrel is as bare as Mother Hubbard̵= 7;s cupboard. Items needed are protein, such as peanut butter and can= ned meats. As are canned fruits, vegetables, soups, pastas and cereal.

= A new feature added this year is “Fabulous Food Finds” presente= d by the Susan Jensen/Connie Tripp team.

Women Meditating on the Psalms

= Women’s Evening Fellowship (WEF) meets at the home of Susan Jensen to= be in fellowship, respond to Sunday morning prayer requests and to study.<= /span>

= WEF convenes the second and fourth Monday of each month. This no-prep= study group starts Meditating on the Psalms on Monday, April = 12. To be part of the group, contact Susan Jensen at the $crip table = Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall to reserve a copy of the book and to= receive directions to her house.

Spreading a Little Lenten Love

= Many thanks to the Wednesday afternoon Sandwich Makers. These volunteers pr= epared two hundred sandwiches, which we shared with ESL tutors, students an= d their children, four of our Lenten dinner nights. Which sandwich wa= s most favored? Peanut Butter and Jam – no surprise there!

Creation Vacation 2010
