Christine Webb

Family Ministries Coordinator

christine@hillsboroumc.org

HUMC has been my spiritual "home" for the past seven years. As the coordinator for Family Ministries I get to indulge my passion for planning programs, building relationships and hanging out with some of my favorite people - kids!

This is an exciting and challenging job as HUMC moves solidly toward ministries that acknowledge, support and celebrate the lives of our very busy families. I spend most of my time on my feet or at my computer - organizing, teaching, and establishing and building relationships with our members. Get to know me and you will find that I am a huge believer in children learning and growing in a community filled with a broad range of ages and interests. You will see me working with an enthusiastic group of volunteers to develop and encourage programs and activities that involve most of our congregation: classes, festivals, programs, studies and worship experiences. I also oversee our Safe Sanctuary policy and program.

My husband, Jeff Grimm, and I are the parents of three adult children who live in Washington, D.C., Houston and Taiwan. We live in the country and our home is often used for church-related activities. My background includes an undergraduate degree in business and a Masters degree in teaching. I am a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo, am trained as a creative problem solver and homeschooled our children for more than fifteen years. My interests include reading, quilting, antiquing and the theater.

As a half-time employee, my office hours can be fairly irregular, but I can generally be found in the office on Monday afternoons, on Wednesdays and on Thursdays after 11AM. I love to meet for coffee or a walk and can be most easily contacted via e-mail or my cell phone (503-544-8319). If I'm here my door is open - stop in and visit!
