Sharing bread (and pastries) with our neighbors
Each Wednesday morning during the school year, we set up a table on 8th Ave. and offer hot drinks and homemade muffins to anyone who comes by. Our visitors include Pacific University students, Lincoln Street Elementary parents and students, bus drivers, and other neighbors who stop by. Guests: Everyone is invited to stop by for a complementary muffin, hot beverage and warm greeting. Dogs are welcome too! Bakers: please make regular size muffins in paper liners, place them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer in the church kitchen, labeled with the type of muffin and the date. Servers: the time commitment is from 6:50am – 9:00am each Wednesday, no matter the weather (unless schools are closed). This includes set-up and clean-up. There is a sign-up sheet on the south wall of the Fellowship Hall. The weather will not always be warm and dry, but you will meet some very grateful people, and it is always fun!
