Weekly, home-based Bible study
This Women’s Bible Study meets 9:30 to 11:00 every Thursday morning at Audrey Greenlee’s home in Hillsboro. This study, which goes through the Bible a chapter at a time, has been meeting for over 35 years. This marks the 29th year under the able leadership of Eleanor Mills who gathers commentary from her resources of more than 50 books and provides a summary each week on the material being covered. Through the years they have become a support and friendship group as well as learning how the Bible relates to living in the world today. There is no homework but they do use a small book in class titled “Genesis to Revelation – Acts” by James E. Sargent, the NIV version, and will be studying Acts of the Apostles. Stay for coffee, treats and conversation afterwards. Half of our group are Methodists and the other half are from other denominations. You can join at any time as there is always room for one more. They will hold their Christmas Potluck on December 8th, then break for the holiday, resuming January 5th.
