What if a weekly Bible study made you laugh? Or cry (and not from boredom)?
We don’t often think of Bible study as fun. Interesting, maybe. Important, perhaps. Tedious, often. But joyful and playful? Moving? Nope.
Join us on Sunday mornings as we playfully, faithfully explore Scripture together. Inspired by ancient practices of Scripture reading, we’ll learn together what happens when we take the Bible seriously enough to laugh (and cry) with it.
This Summer we will be viewing and discussing a DVD from the Great Courses collection “The Old Testament” a series of lectures by Amy Jill Levine Professor at Vanderbilt Divinity School. Each chapter focuses on one theme or person of the Old Testament. No homework required!
Sunday mornings, 8:45-9:45 in the Fellowship Hall.
