Growth Happens Here!
So many wonderful things are happening in this place! Whether you are here on a Thursday evening, a Sunday morning or a Wednesday around noon, you will find people coming and going. Children and adults, those seeking education, community, resources, faith, or to serve, all are welcome here. Though this building is called the Hillsboro United Methodist Church, it is home to multiple congregations and community groups and hundreds of guests each week. We invite you to learn more about all of the great things happening here and discover ways we can support one another.
We love our neighbors and care deeply about everyone in this community. Even if you don’t consider yourself a “church person”, we consider you a beloved child of God and we welcome you with open arms. We invite you to join us for a muffin and coffee or cocoa out in front of the building on Wednesday mornings on your way to school or work. Stop by our community garden behind the building on Lincoln street and help yourself to fresh veggies, fruit and herbs when they are in season. Come inside and visit our Community Trading Post where you can give or take food, clothing and basic toiletries any time the building is open. We offer English classes for non-native speakers. We host a wide variety of 12-step support groups, many with childcare available. We host blood drives throughout the year. Our partners at SOAR offer low cost immigration law services here once a month. We are part of the Family Promise network, hosting families experiencing homelessness five weeks out of the year. In December, we host our huge bake sale, Cookies ‘n’ More to benefit local organizations. Whatever might bring you to this place, at any time, for any reason, you are welcome here.

Building Community Corner
As part of our vision statement, we take “building community” very seriously in this congregation. Both within our congregation and throughout our local area and the world, we strive to be in relationship with one another, working alongside our neighbors for the transformation of the world. Each month we spotlight someone or some group to help us be in connection with one another. This month, we feature some of our partner organizations throughout the community who were very instrumental in making some of our programs a success recently. We are so grateful for their contributions.
