Serving our neighbors includes advocating for others.  This includes anyone who may be suffering or left behind for many reasons.  We care for the wellbeing and equal opportunity for all and have special experience in assisting refugees, immigrants, non-native English speakers, members of the 2SLGBTQAI+ community, people experiencing homelessness, those recently freed after incarceration and others.

Community Service

Community Trading Post

On Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 to 5:00, we open our Community Trading Post where anyone is welcome to shop for free food, clothing and hygiene items.  Sorting clothes, re-bagging beans and rice, filling laundry soap bottles….these are just a few of the activities that need to be done every week….there’s a place for you on our team! If you are interested in helping on Wednesdays or any other time contact Pat Salas.

Monday Lunch Bunch

At 8:00 am on Monday mornings, our lunch bunch packs sack lunches which we share with our neighbors through Project Homeless Connect.

Muffins ‘n More

Our Muffins and More ministry will return on September 10. We will be out in front of the church every Wednesday afternoon, from 1:30-5:00 serving muffins, hot drinks, and other snacks to anyone who comes by. We have a great time meeting our neighbors and connecting with each other. We are there every week except no school days, no matter the weather! Last year, we handed out over eight dozen muffins per week, and about 100 cups of coffee or cocoa. If you would like to help with this fun ministry, contact Linda Clarkson.

During the growing season, we operate our Community Garden where anyone is welcome to pick and eat whatever vegetables, fruits and herbs are growing there.
